How do you contribute?

Vision Statement

Our goal from the beginning has been to create a flexible platform for an Open Source Sex Machine that is able to be assembled with common hobbyist parts.We believe this to be an important tool for enabling personal sexual exploration / expression / fun.

Core Principles and Values

Intuitive + Self Documenting

Open Box, power on, use
Should be able to use basic functionality without instruction
Favor giving information to the user where and when they need it, rather than in a document

Integration is easy

Using the OSSM in other DIY projects should be very easy, at least to do simple things
Standard and flexible interfaces (mount to stand, serial comms etc)

Great things are simple - Simple is powerful

Simple and understandable is better than complex and perfect
The best solutions reduce complexity, not add it.

How to Contribute?

1) Check contribution guidelines (link to come)
2) Make a Pull Request on Github
3) Post a link to the Pull Request in #OSSM-development on Discord
4) Have three members try the new software/hardware and verify it works without modification
5) Anyone on Development Committee can approve it
